2021-2022 Branch Campus Leadership Institution Application
04/07/2021 - 04/30/2022

Event Description
Beginning with the Inaugural 2018-2019 Class, the Branch Campus Leadership Institute (BCLI) unites the expertise of national branch campus administrators with those wanting to enter, serve, and/or advance in the profession. BCLI uses a year-long, cohort-based model that introduces participants to a full range of higher education leadership topics, emphasizing implications and applications related to off-campus locations, centers, and campuses. This innovative program distinctively meets membership needs. Institute participants develop a greater appreciation for the multiple roles of the branch administrator in the community they serve and the varied responsibilities at their institution.  While there are programs and degrees for higher education administration, no specialization exists for branch campus administrators. Therefore, following its mission, NABCA designed the BCLI for those with less than five years’ experience in a leadership/administrative role, and for those with more leadership experience but are new to higher education and/or branch campus administration.

The basic profile of and criteria for selection are:
  • Current higher education remote location administrator, faculty, or staff member;
  • Sincere concern about the future of remote locations in higher education and a commitment to help shape the future;
  • Demonstrated commitment to higher education through past and present activities;
  • The potential for exercising leadership in the future; and
  • Willingness to commit time and energy to the NABCA organization.
The Branch Campus Leadership Institute is $1,850 per participant ($750 of that is the application fee). This covers all expenses for speakers, the facilitator, a cloud access account for each participant, meals provided in April (for participants who travel to the Conference), textbook and materials, and all associated costs.

Applications and application fees must be submitted by January 31 (by check or credit card payment); refundable if you are not accepted and not refundable if you withdraw after acceptance. Incomplete applications will not be considered in the review process. Applications will be reviewed and participants announced in February. Program fee balance of $1100 will be due no later than March 15.

We appreciate your interest in the Leadership Institute. If you have any questions, contact the Steering Committee Chair, VicePresident@nabca.net
